3-3-3 Adoption Roadmap
for the first 3 days, 3 weeks, and 3 months after adopting
3 Days
During the first 3 days, they might display behaviors like fear, nervousness, or confusion as they adapt to unfamiliar sights, smells, and sounds.
During this decompression period, it's essential to provide ample space and time for acclimation. Keep them in a quiet, comfortable room equipped with their bed, food, water, and toys.
Limit interactions with other pets, family members, and visitors to prevent overwhelm and allow your feline friend to gradually adjust to their new environment.
3 Weeks
In the first three weeks, your kitty is adapting to a routine, recognizing your schedule, and understanding meal and playtime routines. Their true personality begins to shine, with diminishing signs of initial fear.
Introduce them gradually to new environments, being mindful of their comfort level. Provide them with the option to retreat to their familiar space until they feel confident in the expanded environment.
3 Months
